Es war längst überfällig: Caris Hermes, die Gewinnerin des WDR Jazzpreises 2024 legt ihr erstes Album unter eigenem Namen vor! Vielfach hatte sie sich in den letzten Jahren als verlässlich-virtuose Sidewoman bewiesen, geschätzt von Mitmusiker*innen, aber auch vom Publikum, das sie mit der rhythmischen und melodischen Vielfalt ihres Spiels immer wieder aufs Neue beeindruckte. Tatsächlich hat ihr Kontrabass eine eigene Stimme – und viel zu erzählen.
